b) Getting my next wedding workshop organized.
New website, new everything. I am very excited about it. So watch the blog and the website and everything will unfold very soon.

First, I like to say thank you to my Dad. Even through such great distance he has been a great mentor. To my husband who had to adjust to my constant changes and a great thank you to the rest of my family.
Second, to my friends who supported me throughout the year, what would life be without you?You all bring joy, warmth and laughter and growth. Thank you for keeping me on track.

Third, to all my vendors who supported me, gave me their trust and believed in me. Over the years we build fantastic working relationships together which made CD Weddings into what it is today.

Kathleen & Thierry's Wedding

When Kathleen and Thierry came to see me they told me that they would like to get married in 6 weeks and had booked only their reception. I love challenges!
Half the guests flying in from France and the other from Melbourne – it was a small soiree.
Morgan and Daniel, both from Shadowcast Images, and Daniel’s wife Melissa were just a wonderful team to work with. With Melissa being fluent in French she was able to help many confused guests. Both Morgan and Daniel are also among my favourite photographers – passionate about their work with and so much talent.

Beach – Wedding - Bowling – all that in one day!

It was a full on day with the ceremony held at precisely 12:00 noon at Scarborough Beach.
It was a perfect day to witness two beautiful people getting married. Alice and Ryan are a fun loving couple and this was portrayed through out the day. Charlie their dog was their ring bearer.
After the ceremony, the guests joined the couple for a game of lawn bowls. A 2007 H2 Hummer 140" Stretched SUV Limousine took the bridal party for a scenic tour while the guests made their way to Oceanus on the beach.
The theme was carried through out the reception. Over sized martini glasses were filled with beach sand, driftwood and Tillandsia (Air plants). Each guest got a glass cylinder filled with sand, shells and a message from the couple.
The bouquets were made by my favourite florist Daisy Lane.
This beautiful cake was made by non other than Kakes by Karen
Kylie wed Bill

Kylie and Bills wedding was held at Grandis Cottage. A beautiful tranquil setting on a 5 acre property surrounded by gum trees and roses set in the heart of the Swan Valley.
Kylie arrived in a horse drawn carriage with her Dad. She was just glowing!
After the ceremony the bride and groom and the bridal party went to have their photos taken in the beautiful bush setting.
Later at the reception, the guests were treated to a scrumptious meal in the marquee which was cooked by Danuta the chef. Her Strawberry hazelnut gateau was just to die for!

The Candy buffet was another hit and the disco was led by the brother in law ‘Leon the DJ’, who had the guests in full swing all night long..

What a warm, welcoming and beautiful wedding it was. Even though the weather played havoc outside, which nobody noticed when the groom sung to his bride.
Richard Syme, Master Photographer, truly made his magic happening with his camera and created art for the happy couple to cherish for the rest of their lives.
Do yourself a favour and visit his website http://www.syme.com.au/ or visit his studio in Subiaco at 113a Rokeby Road.
The Caversham House http://www.cavershamhouse.com.au/ was top notch with fabulous food. Now I have to go on a diet!
I wish Maya and Emmanuel well, especially for their second wedding in Jakarta with 2500 guests!!!

As a Wedding Planner it is my job to bring vendors together with my clients, the Bride and Groom.
As I am a perfectionist, I expect the same of my vendors.
I recently had the pleasure to work with Suzi from Alannah Rose. Not only were her invitations
great quality, the artwork like a dream and best of all her customer service was fantastic.
Alannah Rose is situated in Melbourne and when all her Stationary arrived it was so beautiful packet with matching boxes and ribbons. Let’s say I thoroughly enjoyed open and unwrap everything.
Can’t wait to work with her again!

The Wedding Workshop

Friday, 7 September 2007
Twice a year I hold a Wedding Workshop. I see so many Brides and Grooms walk through Bridal Expos and by the end of day they still do not know how to put a wedding together. They end up with a bag of business cards and brochures, but do they know what the legal requirements are in getting married or how to design their cake , choosing flavours and how much to buy?
At my workshop vendors talk about their craft and give valuable advice. After all they do weddings every weekend and they know what is best for the bride and groom. By the end of the evening everyone walked home with a folder of all the speeches and also received a FREE “Your Brides Guide” worth $19.95. It was quality time for everyone.
Keep visiting the website to find out where and when the next one will be held and when.
Siva and Sally tied the knot!

The wedding was on Saturday 25 August 2007 at 2:00pm at Christ Church with a reception to follow at Matilda Bay Restaurant. What a romantic wedding. A vintage theme set the mood throughout the day.
Sally had chosen tulips for her bouquet and her bridal party, tulips for the church and more tulips for the reception. Simple, and yet so very elegant.
Every aspect of the wedding was meticulously planed which resulted into a flawless event.
I also had the honour to work with two of the most talented vendors in Perth. Their enthusiasm and passion for their craft was just incredible.
Natasja Kremers from NK Photographer http://www.nkphotography.com.au/ captured the true beauty of the day in her photos while Kristen and Craig produced a 3 minute trailer which is Steven Spielberg quality.
